Throughout the programme, Windsor Waste Management supplied and managed eight 40-yard roll-on roll-off containers, removing a total of 75.02 tonnes of cement bonded asbestos roofing materials.
Collections were scheduled to align with the demolition programme, ensuring full containers were exchanged promptly and replacement containers delivered without interrupting site operations. This allowed Cawarden to maintain momentum while keeping work areas clear, organised and compliant.
Following collection, all asbestos waste was transported using ADR-compliant vehicles to a licensed hazardous landfill facility. Every load was accompanied by hazardous waste consignment documentation, providing a complete audit trail and ensuring full compliance with Duty of Care obligations.
Although roof removal is only one phase of a demolition project, it is often one of the most critical. Delays at this stage can impact every activity that follows. By providing a reliable, responsive disposal service, Windsor Waste Management helped ensure the programme remained on schedule from the first roof sheet removed through to completion.
The asbestos roof removal programme was completed safely, compliantly and on schedule, with all hazardous materials disposed of in accordance with environmental legislation.
