Triple Award Win at the 2026 British Demolition & Asbestos Awards

Windsor Waste Management celebrates triple award win at the 2026 British Demolition & Asbestos Awards

Windsor Waste Management has taken home three major industry awards at the 2026 British Demolition Awards and British Asbestos Awards, recognising its continued commitment to innovation, compliance and supporting customers across the demolition and asbestos industries.

Award Trophies

The company was recognised with Waste Provider of the Year and Innovation of the Year at the 2026 British Demolition Awards, before going on to win Asbestos Industry Supplier of the Year at the British Asbestos Awards.

The hat-trick marks another significant milestone for Windsor Waste Management, which has been supporting demolition contractors and licensed asbestos removal companies for more than 25 years.

The awards recognise different aspects of the business, but all three share a common theme: Windsor Waste Management’s focus on understanding the challenges faced by its customers and finding practical ways to make hazardous waste management safer, and easier.

From complex demolition projects to individual asbestos collections, the company provides specialist waste collection, transport and disposal services across England and Wales. Its operations are supported by ADR-qualified drivers, specialist infrastructure and a strong focus on compliance, with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems alongside FORS Silver Accreditation.

Innovation Starts with Listening

A key part of Windsor Waste Management’s success over the past year has been the launch of Qwikzip, its purpose-designed liner system for 20-yard roll-on roll-off containers and tippers.

Developed directly with licensed asbestos removal contractors, Qwikzip was created in response to a common industry challenge: the time-consuming and inconsistent process of manually lining containers for asbestos waste.

The result is an ADR-compliant, heavy-duty liner system that creates a protective barrier between the asbestos waste and the container, before being sealed using an integrated double-zip closure. The system is designed to make container preparation quicker and more consistent, reduce manual handling and improve containment during loading and transportation.

Importantly, Qwikzip wasn’t developed in isolation. Windsor Waste Management worked with contractors throughout the development process, with real-world feedback helping shape the design and subsequent field trials. The product was then trialled in live site conditions during the Chelmsford demolition project, where it helped streamline the preparation and loading of asbestos waste containers.

"We're absolutely thrilled to come away with three awards. To be recognised by the demolition and asbestos industries in three different categories is a fantastic achievement for the whole team.” "The awards reflect different parts of what we do. Waste Provider of the Year recognises the service and expertise we provide every day, Asbestos Industry Supplier of the Year reflects the relationships we've built with our customers, and Innovation of the Year recognises our willingness to challenge the way things have always been done.” "Qwikzip is a great example of that. We listened to our customers, identified a genuine problem and worked with them to develop a practical solution. It's exactly the approach we want to continue taking."

More than "Just" a Waste Provider

The three awards also recognise the wider role Windsor Waste Management plays within the industry.

The company’s specialist teams work alongside customers from the planning stages of projects through to completion, helping to develop waste management strategies that work around demanding demolition programmes while maintaining compliance and safety.

Recent projects have included the management of more than 75 tonnes of cement-bonded asbestos roofing during asbestos removal works at the former WH Smith distribution centre in Dunstable, as well as almost 539 tonnes of asbestos-contaminated waste during an intensive eight-week regeneration project in Essex.

Alongside its waste collection and disposal services, Windsor Waste Management now offers a growing range of specialist products, including Qwikzip and Hazibag. The company is also continuing to develop the Qwikzip range, with 40-yard versions currently being trialled.

The ambition is simple: to continue listening to the people working on the front line and develop products and services that genuinely improve the way hazardous waste is managed.

A Huge Thank You

Windsor Waste Management would like to thank the British Demolition Awards and British Asbestos Awards judges for recognising the team’s hard work and commitment, as well as everyone at Demolition Hub for bringing the industry together and creating another fantastic celebration of the sector.

The company also shares its thanks with its customers, partners and, most importantly, its own team, whose expertise and hard work continue to drive the business forward.

Three awards in one year is a result worth celebrating, but for Windsor Waste Management, the focus remains firmly on what comes next.
